F.A.M.E.
BACKGROUND
F.A.M.E. in Entertainment is a nonprofit networking and educational organization serving
management professionals in the entertainment community. The organization is the
successor entity to the Motion Picture and Television Controllers Association,
which was formed in 1945. For more than 50 years, top and middle management
executives have met regularly to share ideas and discuss important issues facing
the entertainment industry. In 1985, the organization expanded its scope and
redefined its membership charter to include individuals in a full range of
financial and administrative management positions. From Chief Financial Officers
to Operations Managers, nearly 350 FAME members now represent the diverse fields
of Administration, Accounting, Audit, Facility Services, Finance, Human
Resources, Insurance, IS, Legal, Payroll, Production, Strategic Planning and
Studio Operations.
